MAY 9, 2026 11am-2pm
YOUR ECO FEST PACKING LIST
DONATE CLOTHES
Drop off un/underused clothes at one of our drop off locations in the weeks leading up to Eco Fest (drop off details below).
BYO BAG / TOTE
Make sure to bring your favorite reusable bag or tote to bring home items from the clothing swap or other goodies from the event.
WEAR LAYERS
It's early May in New England - fingers crossed for good weather, but you never know! Make sure you're ready to bundle or de-bundle to your comfort level.
WALK OR BIKE
When you walk or bike to Eco Fest, you'll help keep the carbon cost of our event down! The Bike and Pedestrian Committee provides temporary bike racks for your convenience.
ECO FEST 2026 ACTIVITIES
Drop off clothing donations at one of our collection boxes (locations TBD) between April 12-24th. Then swing by the Mansion during Eco Fest to pick out some new duds from our secondhand selection. We'll accept clothing for all ages, sizes, genders, etc., and any clothes not claimed at the end of the event will be donated via the City's textile recycler, Helpsy.
You do not have to donate to participate in the swap!
Donation guidelines:
Gently worn items. If it's torn or stained, it may not be for the swap.
Please clean items before donation.
Accepted items: shirts, pants, skirts, dresses, sweaters/sweatshirts, coats, PAIRED shoes
Not accepted: unpaired shoes; torn or heavily stained clothing; underwear or intimates
A donation of 2-10 pieces is ideal to ensure that we can collect and sort everything, but any items not taken in the swap will be donated, so the amount of clothes you donate is ultimately up to you!
Eco Fest is fun for the whole family! While you chat with solar installers or get to know community groups, we've got plenty ways to help kids think about sustainability AND get some yayas out:
Watertown Public Library Bookmobile
Robotics and Thermal Imaging activity with Da Vinci Jr.
Climate Change Carnival Games
Bounce house
And don't forget about Arsenal Park Playground right across Talcott Ave!
Try out some different models of E-Bikes and talk to the folks who own and use them! More details to come.
Get up close and personal with some fun EV tech to learn about some great alternatives to fossil-fuel powered wheels:
Speak with our resident volunteers who have been kind enough to bring their own vehicles for you to poke your head into, and get a sense of what driving an EV day-t-day is really like!
Check out some of our city fleet vehicles, from a police car to the TMA Watertwon Connector Bus!
Grab a bite and support local businesses with our food and drink vendors! More details to come.
